Singapore – A Foodie’s Delight

Singapore is a haven of a variety of cuisines, incorporating a rich heritage of food dishes consisting of Chinese, Indian, Malaysian and Indonesian influences. Be it a hawker centre, a food court or a swanky restaurant, the Garden City has plenty to offer to satisfy all kinds of palates. Eating out is an integral part of Singapore and the same is visible with the plenitude of cuisines available at every nook and corner.

While there are umpteen number of foods to choose from, these are favorite dishes that you can’t afford to miss when in Singapore.


Kaya Toast & Soft-Boiled Eggs

This is a traditional local breakfast for the young and old which consists of kaya, a sweet coconut egg jam, spread generously over toasted bread. Eat the toast with soft-boiled eggs and add a sprinkle of black pepper and soy sauce for extra taste.




Laksa

Laksa is a perfect amalgamation of Chinese and Malay cuisine. It is a spicy coconut curry soup filled with rice noodles and fried bean curd. Slices of fish, shrimp, cockles and tofu puffs are added for a hearty yet healthy meal.
